Graduate School of Theology
Study for your Master of Divinity, or earn a Master of Arts in Biblical or Ministerial Studies. Concentrations are available in Old and New Testament, Education, Leadership, and Missions.
Your advanced degree will enhance your ministry as you receive one-on-one interaction with a qualified mentor for each course. Global University’s resident and adjunct faculty consists of highly trained experts in diverse areas of study. Each stands ready to guide and assist you as you gain the insights needed to move your ministry to the next level.
This is no ordinary Master of Divinity degree. Each course requires rigorous study and mastery of subject, with assignments that allow your ministry to intersect with your education. This sheds a practical light on each course that can be immediately put to use in your ministry. Our graduate courses place a premium on critical thinking, pushing each student to greater understanding and application of the truth of God’s Word.
Similar to online master of theology degrees, our Master of Divinity or Master of Arts in Biblical or Ministerial Studies can be completed online and through a distance education format that utilizes mentors and printed electronic materials to guide you in study and research.
You can study at your own pace, but this requires a long-term commitment that resonates with your faith. For the Master of Arts programs, you should complete all coursework within seven years from the date of enrollment. This includes a thesis or capstone paper, as applicable.
For the Master of Divinity degree, all requirements should be completed within 10 years from the date of first enrollment in the program. This includes a thesis or theology of ministry paper, as applicable. Furthermore, Master of Divinity students are required to complete a 3-credit, field-based practicum. This field study provides a supervised learning experience that offers a faith-in-action application of academic study.

Admission Requirements:
- A Bachelor of Arts degree
or its equivalent from an accredited institution with a minimum grade
point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or a cumulative grade average of
80%.
- A minimum of 15 credit hours
of undergraduate course work in Bible and theology (Master of Arts degree only). Students who have
not met these prerequisites may take them through Global University's
undergraduate program, or they may demonstrate proficiency through a
series of proctored examinations.
- The ability to study and
communicate in English.

The Graduate School of Theology exists to equip students to live and minister in multiple cultures through
individual research, personal scholarship, and cultural awareness. It
does so by providing advanced, in-depth, specialized study of the Bible
and related subjects at the post-bachelor's degree level.
