Global University has an opening in the Information Technology Division for a full time (40 hours per week) Technical Support Specialist. Hours are from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday. The basic function of this position is to provide technical support for Global University network servers and client/server software, workstations, and data report writing as needed. The Technical Support Specialist will help to support the University’s Student Information System, Finance Software, and various Help Desk requests related to these applications. Applicants must possess: (1) Associate or undergraduate degree; (2) Experience with SQL, SQL Server and Crystal Reports; (3) Familiarity with the MAS 200 Finance software or similar package; (4) Experience with both end-user and server-side support in a Windows network environment; (5) Proven experience with software training and technical support; (6) Strong organizational and troubleshooting skills; (7) Self-motivated and dependable; and (8) Ability to work with minimum supervision.
