Global University will provide complimentary shuttle service from the DoubleTree Hotel to the university for graduates and guests who arrived by plane and do not have a rental car. Graduates and guests who have a personal or rental vehicle are asked to transport themselves to Global.
9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.: Welcome Open House and Student Check-in (Global University Chapel)
Enjoy an open house to meet and greet Global University staff and faculty members before or after your check-in time. Complimentary light refreshments will be provided.
10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.: Guided Global University Building Tours (Global University)
Learn about various GU departments and our ministerial education mission and interact with GU staff.
12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.: Board of Trustees and Graduates Lunch (Global University Dining Room)
Enjoy lunch and fellowship with the Global University Board of Trustees (BoT). The graduate’s lunch ticket is included in the registration fee; additional tickets for guests are available to purchase during registration.
1:30 p.m. - 2:45 p.m.: Free Time
Feel free to return to the hotel, connect further with GU staff, or enjoy tourist attractions on your own in Springfield, MO.
3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.: Baccalaureate Service (DoubleTree Hotel)
A time of worship together and reflection from some of your fellow graduates.
4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.: Interaction and Photo Time (DoubleTree Hotel Atrium and Lobby)
Enjoy fellowship as space is prepared for the evening’s banquet. A photo booth and light refreshments will be available. The staged graduate group photo will also be taken during this time.
6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.: Celebration Banquet (DoubleTree Hotel)
Graduates and guests are invited to this meal together celebrating your accomplishments. The graduate’s banquet ticket is included in the registration fee; additional tickets for guests are available to purchase during registration.
8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.: Guided Tour of the Assemblies of God National Leadership and Resource Center (optional)
If you have never toured the AG National Leadership and Resource Center, this is an opportunity you will not want to miss! Graduates will be assigned to a one-hour time slot if you wish to take the tour. These tours have been specially arranged for Global University graduates and their guests. Tour space is limited, so graduates and their guests must attend at the assigned tour time.
11:30 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.: Graduates and Guests Luncheon (DoubleTree Hotel)
This will be an informal time together to fellowship and enjoy a light lunch. The graduate’s lunch ticket is included in the registration fee; additional tickets for guests are available to purchase during registration.
1:15 p.m. - 2:15 p.m.: Mandatory Ceremony Rehearsal (DoubleTree Hotel)
ALL graduates must participate in this commencement rehearsal.
2:15 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.: Free Time
Graduates and guests, please plan to have dinner on your own during this period. Graduates are encouraged to stay at or near the DoubleTree Hotel during this time.
5:00 p.m. - 5:20 p.m.: Graduate and Faculty Robing for Ceremony (DoubleTree Hotel)
Graduates will use the designated room to put on regalia. GU staff will be available to assist graduates with robing as needed.
5:20 p.m.: Photo of Graduates and GU Faculty (DoubleTree Hotel)
6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.: Commencement Ceremony (DoubleTree Hotel)
7:30 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.: Hors d’oeuvres Reception (DoubleTree Hotel)
All ceremony attendees are invited to attend this complimentary event.
