KENYAN PASTOR MOTIVATED FOR MISSIONS THROUGH GLOBAL UNIVERSITY’S BIBLE AND MISSIONS COURSE

Rev. Peter Njogah organized his local congregation for a missions trip into the Democratic Republic of Congo after studying the course The Bible and Missions with Global University. First, he taught his congregation about missions over a period of several months. Next, the congregation prayed for an open door for missions outside the country of Kenya. God answered their prayer by bringing them into contact with a missionary from Congo.

Once they identified the target city for their mission, Pastor Peter began praying for the right people to go as a team, for the necessary funds for travel and lodging, and for travel documents. Ten people were selected for the team which included the pastor and his wife. They presented their financial need to the congregation. During the next six months, the Lord helped them raise over 300,000 Kenyan Shillings ($4,500 US) for their mission to Bukavu, Congo. The team continued their prayers for a safe trip, good health, and favor with the Congolese immigration officials.

The Lord honored their prayers as they were granted favor with the churches and officials in Bukavu. The team ministered for six months in the area. Their ministry was received in five different churches and in special meetings of women, men, and children. Their mission impacted the lives of the people of Bukavu. Forty-five people made decisions for Christ, six were healed, and two demon possessed women were instantly delivered. Pastor Peter says that this course has rekindled the task of missions in his heart.

One pastor, Pastor Peter, inspired by one of GU’s courses, inspired his congregation for missions. Only the Lord could have known the eternal impact of this divinely order outreach.
