A Global University student in Namibia recently reported on a cross-cultural evangelistic outreach to the San people which he organized to complete the Service Learning Requirement for the Global University course Introduction to Missions.
The student trained eighteen of his church’s members to go 20 kilometers outside their town to a place where some of the people of the San tribe were. This tribe has been classified as an un-reached people group. They have one of the world’s most complex languages and live in remote areas of the Kalahari Desert. Their lifestyle is nomadic as they move frequently to find food and water.

The difficulty of reaching these people did not deter the student. He found a translator to overcome the language barrier to communicate the message of Jesus in their own language and cultural context. They were able to understand and respond to commit their lives to Christ. There were fifteen of the San people who heard the message that day and gave their hearts to Jesus.
The Holy Spirit used one course, one student, and one mission to win fifteen of this un-reached people group.
