Life of Christ Course Has Eternal Impact

The Global University course entitled Life of Christ had a major impact on a young student named Landon McAllister., His new understanding led him to impact the lives of over 100 children and adolescents.

Landon explains, “This course helped me by letting me see a wide range of Scriptures about Jesus, going in-depth about His life, death, and resurrection.”

Armed with a fresh awareness of the scope of Christ’s ministry and life, Landon organized his first outreach at a youth camp. He coordinated a drama to be preformed and a sermon to be delivered to a combined group of 80 children and teens in July of 2007 at the Circle Square Ranch in British Columbia. Seven children and youth were added to the Kingdom of God as a result of Landon’s willingness to pursue a greater understanding of Christ.

Since then, Landon has spoken to the youth group at his home church of Broomfield, Colorado on at least two occasions. His approach was uncomplicated—to share his testimony and a simple salvation message. Both events yielded results similar to the one Landon saw at the kid’s camp—young people recommitting their lives and growing in their understanding of Jesus.

“The youth understand a lot more about why Jesus died on the cross for [their] sins,” Landon said, “which in turn [is bringing] them closer to Him.”

“I learned ministry does not have to be complicated,” he continues. “The salvation message needs to stay simple. We just need Jesus to be with us in all we do. We need to be in communication with the Father and daily seek Him in devotion.”

He concluded by saying, “People around us need to hear our personal testimony. The Holy Spirit will work through us to deliver it to them on a personal level.”

15 Youth Converted In Malawi, Africa

One Global University undergraduate student, Arnold, stepped out in faith and ministered to dozens of young people at his home church in Malawi, Africa. Motivated by his course on the Apostle Paul’s salvation letters—Galatians and Romans, his intent was to inform the group they will have to battle the enemy of their souls in three key areas: money, pride, and sexual temptations. Additionally, he emphasized integrity, obedience to the voice of the Lord, and humility as key elements in a Christian’s life.

“Most people do not depend on God for their provision,” Arnold stated. “God is all sufficient. Trust in Him for every detail of life and success will follow” (Matthew 6:33).

As a result of Arnold’s stepping out in faith, 15 out of 40 youth in attendance accepted Christ as their Savior, and several more rededicated their lives to the Lord.
