Graduate School of Theology

The Graduate School of Theology exists to equip students to live and minister in multiple cultures through individual research, personal scholarship and cultural awareness. We provide in-depth, specialized study of the Bible and other subjects at a post Bachelor's degree level. Our programs can be completed through a distance education format that utilizes mentors as well as printed and electronic materials which are designed to guide you in your studies and research.

The Graduate School of Theology offers affordable and accredited Master of Arts and Master of Divinity, and Doctor of Ministry degrees at a minimum cost for graduate programs. Enjoy one-on-one, structured interaction with your mentors. Learn with a strong emphasis in biblical languages. Further your education to fulfill your role in God's kingdom or to pursue an academic path or a practical life in ministry.

Admission Requirements

For Master of Arts and Master of Divinity:

  • B.A. degree/equivalent degree from accredited institution.
  • GPA of 3.0 or its equivalent for the institution where the last degree was earned.
  • A minimum of 15 credits of undergraduate (or higher) course work in Bible and theology (all Master of Arts degrees and Graduate Studies certificate in New Testament Studies). Students can meet these prerequisites through Global University's undergraduate program:
    1. LIT1213 Old Testament Literature
    2. LIT1303 New Testament Literature
    3. BIB2043 Principles of Biblical Interpretation
    4. Any 6 credits in theology (choose any two 3-credit theology courses)
  • The ability to study and communicate in standard English at a graduate level of studies.

For Doctor of Ministry:

  • An earned master's degree from an accredited institution with a minimum GPA of 3.00 (no exceptions)
  • At least one year (minimum of 6 credits) of Biblical Greek with a minimum grade average of 83 percent (or its equivalent)
  • Verifiable ministerial accreditation/credentials
  • A minimum of three years of active ministry experience
  • Graduate studies in Bible and theology equivalent to a Master of Divinity
