Alumni/Graduation Excursion – Noah the Musical

What if you could go back in time to watch as Noah heard the call of God and built the Ark. Would you go? What would it feel like? What would it sound like?

You and your family are invited to join us on June 17th as we “…witness the 40 foot high Ark being built on a 300-foot wraparound stage. You’ll actually be there, in the ark, surrounded by hundreds of live and animatronic animals, when the first raindrops fall- and God shuts the door…- Sight & Sound Theaters”

Join us as we relive Noah’s life on the ark. We’ll meet at Global University at 4:00 PM for dinner and then travel to the Sight & Sound Theater in Branson, MO for a one of a kind experience. We believe you’ll love this musical so much that we have decided to pay for most of the ticket price! Your cost to attend this remarkable event is only $20 (regular ticket price- $50). 3:45 PM: Arrive at Global University’s International Office (1211 S. Glenstone Avenue; Springfield, Missouri)

4:00 – 5:00 PM: Dinner with Global University staff

5:00 – 6:00 PM: Travel to Branson, MO

6:00 – 9:30 PM: Noah the Musical

Day 2, June 18, 2010

Commencement Day

10:15 – 11:15 AM: Global University's International Office (1211 S. Glenstone Avenue; Springfield, Missouri): Participating graduates need to check-in and try on their regalia during this time.

10:30 – 11:15 AM: Global University's Chapel: Graduates, friends and family are invited to meet with staff and faculty at the Faculty Reception. Tours of the International Office will be available at this time.

11:30 AM – 12:45 PM: Global University's Lunch Room: The President of Global University will be hosting a Luncheon in honor of the 2009 graduates. The graduates are invited to attend as our guests. Family and friends are welcome to join you for an additional cost.

1:30-2:30 PM: Assemblies of God Headquarters: Guided Tour. If you have never toured the A/G Headquarters this is an opportunity you don't want to miss. Click here for more information. (Directions to A/G Headquarters)

4:45 – 6:00 PM: James River Assembly's Clark Chapel (Directions to James River Assembly): Mandatory rehearsal for the Graduates. During this time any family and friends who may have come with you may tour the church, relax in the atrium area, browse the bookstore, or grab a cup of coffee at the café. There will be staff available to answer any questions you or your family may have.

6:00 – 6:20 PM: Putting on regalia in the designated dressing rooms. GU staff will be available to assist the graduates.

6:20 PM: Group picture. A professional photographer will be taking a group picture of all the graduates. The GU staff member assigned to assist the graduates will take the group to the location the picture will be taken.

6:45 PM: Line up for the processional.

7:00 – 8:45 PM (approximately): Commencement Ceremony

After the ceremony: Reception in the Fireside Room at James River Assembly. All graduates and guests are welcome to attend.
