Alver served for some 35 years in Latin America where much of his missionary career was spent in teaching and training students in Bible and Theology helping them to develop their Christian character and prepare them for ministry. Through Global University, he has been afforded the opportunity to, not only train ministers and leaders in a resident country, but literally around the world. As a member of the faculty, he grades under graduate course projects and collateral reading assignments for Spanish speaking students who study in their respective Latin American countries as well as in the United States. These courses help prepare the students for pastoral and other types of ministry.
He also responds to Spanish speaking inquirers who want to receive Christ as Savior or have prayer requests for their particular needs.
While living in Central America, Alver worked a number of those years with Global University, serving as National Director in two countries. Alver has taught in eight bible schools in five countries, preparing students for ministry. Through ministry at Global University, he is able to continue that work of reaching the lost and training the found.
Alver’s wife, Linda, has assisted the librarian in special projects such as cataloging of curriculum and processing Global University’s archival material. Linda also organizes and maintains the archives of Global University courses and materials which are in 125 languages.
Our goal is to reach as many as possible with the message of salvation and prepare workers for the harvest field. We desire to do this by multiplying our efforts through those we touch by way of our Global ministry.
