SPRINGFIELD, Missouri- Global University, an accredited distance education university of the Assemblies of God, welcomed Global Operations regional directors for a day long training conference at its international office in Springfield, Missouri. “Seizing New Opportunities” was the theme for this year’s conference, held on June 17, 2013. Dr. George Flattery, former president of Global University, served as the key note speaker.
Eleven Global University regional directors attended the event, representing the Caribbean, Southeast Asia, Peninsular Asia, East Africa, CIS (former Soviet Union), Europe, Northern Asia, Southern Africa, Southern Asia, Global Teen Challenge and India. Each director shared news and challenges unique to their region of the world.
A number of Global University staff members gave presentations for their respective departments on procedural and operational issues. These presentations opened the door for dialogue on many vital issues related to Global University’s network of 211 offices around the world. This conference also provided networking opportunities, as it provided regional directors the opportunity to build relationships with one another and key members of the Global University staff.
“This director’s conference was a great opportunity to gather our regional directors together for prayer, fresh ideas, and recognizing and seizing new opportunities,” reflects Dr. Joe Szabo, Vice President of Global Operations. “We look forward to hosting our next regional director’s conference.”
