Global University is now offering a continuing education course for those interested in understanding and working with single adults.
"Certainly single adults warrant our training, time, prayer and efforts. This new, inexpensive course can meet this need by providing a biblical and practical approach for ministry to single adults," says course author Dennis Franck, director of Assemblies of God Single Adult Ministries and Young Adult Ministries.
The new course, called "Introduction to Single Adult Ministry," is a self-paced correspondence course being offered through Global University’s Berean School of the Bible, and is worth five continuing education units.
The coursework focuses on three units: Foundation of Single Adult Ministries, Overview of Single Adult Ministries and Developing Single Adult Ministries. Students will gain an overall understanding of the diverse needs of single and single-again adults and are introduced to various models of ministry.
"Many Christian colleges offer training for various ministries such as youth ministry, children's ministry and music ministry, so why not focus on single adult ministry," says Franck. "This is the first Single Adult Ministry course offered in an Assemblies of God college setting."
