Team from Global University Travels to Rwanda to Assist the Rwanda Pentecostal Assemblies of God Bible Training Center

SPRINGFIELD, Missouri- Three team members from the Global University international office, Linda Seals, Nicole Vicari and Unhui Roedder, recently traveled to Kigali, the capital city of Rwanda, to assist in the set up and organization of the Rwanda Pentecostal Assemblies of God Bible Training Center.

This center has recently come under the leadership of the Rwanda Assistant General Superintendent for the Assemblies of God after having been directed by AG missionaries for several years. Jean Marie Vianney Mulinda was appointed as the Global University National Director. In addition to these titles, he also serves as a pastor, teacher, father to six children and is studying to receive his doctoral degree. He requested assistance to effectively run this school, and the Global University team agreed to assist him in the set-up, administration and organization of the Bible Training Center.

Activities included the cataloging of 3,000 books that had been donated to the center’s library through the generosity of BGMC, training of the staff on degree auditing, file organization and transcript processing and set up of the center’s library and classrooms.

Linda Seals relates, “When we began Monday morning we agreed the job was too much for us. We would never be able to complete the work we had come to do. However, with AG missionary Shirley Bohanon (the only AG missionary in Rwanda) with us every step of the way and 6-8 nationals working right beside us everyday, we left Friday evening with the feeling of, “We did it!”. God was definitely our strength, the Holy Spirit our wisdom and guide, and Jesus led us, comforted us and encouraged us all the way.”

Currently there are 30 active students studying at this Bible Training Center, and Rev. Mulinda believes even more students will enroll by the end of the year. There are plans to expand the school property to include a three story building that would include a chapel, offices and dormitory, and Rev. Mulinda is believing God for a financial miracle to make this vision a reality.
