Global University’s Berean School of the Bible Awards Posthumous Course Completion Certificate to 88 Year Old Student

SPRINGFIELD, Missouri- Dr. Randy Hedlun, Dean of Global University’s Berean School of the Bible, has awarded a certificate of course completion posthumously to student Dorothy Ragsdale, age 88, who passed away on August 6, 2013, shortly before she was able to complete the course ‘Christ in the Synoptic Gospels’. Dorothy was enrolled as a student in Freedom Worship Center’s Berean School of the Bible study group, based in Taylorsville, Utah.

Candice Pollock, Dorothy’s daughter, states, “Please relay our thanks to Dr. Randy and the entire Global University staff in honoring my mother with this certificate. Mom was a dedicated life-long learner who was committed to deepening her knowledge of the Scriptures, no matter her age. Our family is humbled by this great expression of appreciation.”

Dean of Berean School of the Bible, Dr. Randy Hedlun, reflects, “I think it is remarkable for an 88-year-old person to pursue education. It is with great admiration that we present this certificate of course completion to Dorothy’s family in honor of her.”

Berean School of the Bible offers ministry training designed to prepare students to fill a church leadership role and to help fulfill the call of God on their lives. Berean School of the Bible has pioneered distance education for Assemblies of God ministerial credentials since 1948 and has trained Assemblies of God ministers for over six decades.
