SPRINGFIELD, Missouri- Military Advanced Education (MAE) has awarded Global University the designation of a Top Military-Friendly University in its 2014 Guide to Military-Friendly Colleges & Universities. MAE serves education services officers and transition officers at every U.S. military installation, along with the servicemembers they counsel. Published 10 times yearly, MAE’s editorial coverage includes exclusive interviews with military executive leadership, educators, and members of Congress; best practices; career and transition spotlights, servicemember, school, and program profiles, and periodic special reports.
From community colleges to state universities, online universities and nationally known centers of higher learning, MAE’s 2014 Guide to Military-Friendly Colleges & Universities provides potential students with information about institutions that go out of their way to give back to our men and women in uniform. A record number of schools responded to the extensive survey.
Among the attributes considered in evaluating this year’s institutions for inclusion in the Guide are the flexibility of online learning options, affordability of tuition, extent of transfer credits accepted by degree level, and presence on military installations, to name but a few.
“Our staff used strict criteria to evaluate the submissions of more than 500 schools. We believe the Guide serves as an invaluable tool for both education services officers and transition officers when advising servicemembers about their educational opportunities,” said Kelly Fodel, MAE’s editor.
“Global University offers the perfect setting for our nation’s servicemen and women to meet their higher education goals. The accessibility of our courses, the affordability of our tuition and the fully accredited offerings we provide allow individuals to complete their degree from anywhere in the world at anytime. We are proud of our men and women in uniform and are grateful to receive this prestigious designation from MAE,” said Dr. Gary Seevers, president of Global University.
