SPRINGFIELD, Missouri- Dr. Randy Hedlun, Vice Provost of Global University, authored an article titled “Rethinking Luke’s Purpose: The Effect of First Century Social Conflict”, published in the Fall 2013 edition of the Journal of Pentecostal Theology.
“This article addresses the issue of Luke’s authorial purpose for the composition of the Luke-Acts literature. Observing that existing theories are inadequate for various reasons, the article suggests an authorial purpose paradigm that is natural to the early Jesus movement’s status as a newly emerging society,” relates Dr. Randy Hedlun.
The Journal of Pentecostal Theology is a continuing volume publication that publishes theological research from Pentecostal’s leading theologians, scholarly contributors and international leaders. The goal of this publication is to foster thoughtful and well researched works that will further the discussion and reflection on ecclesial and theological traditions.
