Global University celebrated its 15th anniversary on Friday, June 12th.
“Global’s focus is people because that is the focus of the Great Commission,” said Dr. Gary Seevers, President. “We celebrate what has been accomplished and look to the future with keen anticipation about the opportunities the future will bring.”
Staff members who had been employed with Global since its early years were honored during the ceremony along with current and previous leadership. Among those in attendance were Dr. George and Esther Flattery, Chancellor of Global University; Joann Butrin, Director of International Ministries with Assemblies of God World Missions; and Ron and Barbara Tuttle and Ron Pitts, both former Vice Presidents of Global Operations.
Originally created in 2000 through the merging of Berean School of the Bible (BSB) and the International Correspondence Institute (ICI), Global University has grown to offer both undergraduate and graduate degrees in Bible and theology. It now enrolls over 15,000 students in the United States and over 6,700 students in various locations around the world.
Thousands more study with Global’s School of Evangelism and Discipleship curriculum, which has been translated into over 120 different languages. Global University’s BSB and undergraduate materials have also been fully translated into Spanish.
